Creating Contentment
Hi All,
I just thought I would share a couple of insights that I have over the weekend because they seem pretty relevant at the moment. I have noticed that several individuals, me included have been having minor to sever financial flow issues as of late. I have been pretty mellow about it because it seems that is seams to almost be a moon or planetary issue. In the smaller picture it does seem kind of invalidating after helping to putting on a huge conference about leader shift for change that as leaders we are not prosperous at all times. However, this weekend I realized that being able to show everyone that one has unlimited prosperity is not what we need to be teaching at the moment. It is our use of creativity to get back to simpler times. The angels are trying to get us to go for contentment rather than just happiness which can be fleeting.
Tonight is the full moon which means that we have two weeks before the new moon to let go of even more of what makes us discontent. The question you want to ask yourself is “what makes me content?” rather “than what would make me content?” The feeling I get is that a lot of the discontent is stemming from not having the opportunity to be creative. Yes, Virginia I think this year the great gifts for Christmas are going to be homemade.
For those of us that have been a little resistant or asked to be more open to the lesson of sustainability. This time of hesitated flow has created just that environment. We are called as leaders at this time to really be evaluating the resources we all ready have. We are in training at the moment on really being able to get to the simpler side of life, a life in which we would feel more content. The programming that we have received to keep buying stuff to make you happier has really zapped us all of our creative energy. Here we are in a nation that is supposed to be known for its free thinking and inventiveness and we are literally being dumped up.
This really hit home when I was at a wine and crocheting party in which we were learning to create yoga mats or beds for the homeless using strips of plastic trash bags as the yarn. Kim from Save Our Beach.org explained that she lives on a pretty tight budget to keep her nonprofit running. She loves to crochet and ran out of yarn so she decided to get creative. It really opened up my thinking. This is a whole new level of perception even gratitude being able to look at the things that we are discarding and see if there is another use for them. Then the frosting on the cake is that we are also being globally responsible.
